1. Yes/No Questions

These questions can be answered with “Yes” or “No” and usually start with an auxiliary verb (be, do, have, can, will, etc.).

Present Simple:

  • Do you like coffee? (Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.)

Past Simple:

Future Simple:

2. Wh-Questions (Information Questions)

These questions begin with Wh-words (who, what, where, when, why, how) and ask for specific information.

Examples:

  • What do you do? (I am a teacher.)
  • Where does she live? (She lives in London.)

3. Choice Questions (Either/Or Questions)

These questions offer choices and often use “or.”

Examples:

  • Will you travel by car or by train? (By train.)

4. Tag Questions (Short Questions at the End)

Tag questions confirm or check information.

Examples:

  • They will come, won’t they?

5. Indirect Questions (Polite Questions)

Used in formal or polite situations.

Examples:
